BMW Stadium Project Remains Continued

Despite losing in the land dispute in the State Administrative Court (PTUN), Jakarta Provincial Government can still continue the BMW Stadium project in North Jakarta. Considering, the party being sued is North Jakarta National Land Agency (BPN) as the party that issued the certificate, instead of Jakarta government as the owner of the certificate No. 250 and 251 which were rejected by judges.

Jakarta Law Firm Head, Sri Rahayu revealed, according to a dossier concerning the handover of BMW Park land in Papanggo Urban Village, Sunter Agung, North Jakarta, the next dispute issue is the responsibility of the developer as the first party.
"In chapter 3, states the developer obligated to responsible for a matter of dispute in the future. This is to guarantee the land which we received from the issue," she said when being contacted on Saturday (1/17).
City to Appeal of BMW Park Land DisputeHence, she stated, Jakarta government can still continue the project of football stadium plus its facility in such park. Moreover, it is concerning the public interest.
"It refers on the Law No. 2/2014, the government has the right to continue development for public interest," she explained.
Rahayu added to win the case, she also plans to hold open-recruitment for lawyer which has been budgeted in 2015 City Budget (APBD). The auction is scheduled to be done through the Goods and Services Procurement Agency (ULP) after the APBD was ratified.
"We actually already budgeted the open-recruitment for lawyer this year, yet the APBD has not been ratified. We plan to do the auction via the ULP," she stressed.
